There is a growing appetite from researchers and teachers who wish to incorporate the use of artificial intelligence (AI) methods in their practices. But knowing where to start can be daunting: we have all heard the horror stories of misuse and misapplication of AI, where it eventually ends up creating more work than it saves.
To help researchers, Jamie Cummins has created a living document of guidelines for the use of AI in research and teaching. These guidelines are nontechnical and accessible, aimed to act as a starting point for researchers and teachers to incorporate AI into their practices in an effective, robust, and responsible manner. These guidelines are fully aligned with other guidelines on AI currently implemented within the psychological research landscape (for example, the AI guidelines of Psychological Science, of which Jamie has also led the development in his capacity as a STAR editor).
If you require specific guidance which does not appear to be covered in the guidelines, have suggestions on additions, or otherwise have any form of question or comment, please feel free to contact Jamie by email.
